Shutterline

A committed-split market.

The split is bound before it can be read.

Shutterline is a committed-split market. Each Slat Cut is written as a split before that split can be read.

The Blind

Shut while it is bound. Open when it is spent.

An Open Blind writes a Binding first. The slats stay closed, so the split between Shelved SHUT and Deepen cannot be read. Blind Close shows the two destinations and spends the gathered Slat Cut. The drawing below is the rule, not a live window. It carries no market amounts.

Shelve

SHUT that leaves issue. It is not reissued.

Inside Shutterline

Four named steps.

Slat Cut. A trade leaves two percent. Holding and a send that is not a trade cost nothing. Every fill funds the next Blind Close.

Binding. An Open Blind starts by writing a split between Shelved SHUT and Deepen, taken from a block value nobody selects. While the Blind runs, nobody can read or steer that split.

Blind Close. The window ends. The Binding is shown. The gathered Slat Cut is spent on that split. The spend is public and matches what was already written.

Shelved SHUT. Units that leave issue stay out. Deepen thickens the Quote Lane. Neither spend can be undone.

The Quote Lane runs on Uniswap v4. The chain is Ethereum. The quote is ETH. Activity is public. There is no mixing. A sender stays linked to a recipient.

The Sill Note holds the full construction. Open the Slat Desk for the parameter table. Open Sill Papers for one idea at a time.

Asked of the sill

Questions a Slat Owner actually asks.

Is a new wallet required to hold SHUT?

No. SHUT is an ordinary balance on Ethereum. A Slat Owner trades it on the Quote Lane like any other token there.

What stops the Slat Cut from changing?

The Slat Cut is locked at construction. Two percent is the take.

Can an Open Blind be steered?

Nobody selects the Binding. Blind Timing is locked at construction. A reverted close leaves the same Binding in place until a close succeeds.

Where does Shelved SHUT go?

Those units leave issue. They are not sent to the deployer. They are not reissued.

Does the deployer control my tokens?

No. There is no function that shifts a Slat Owner’s tokens, pauses the Quote Lane, or reissues Shelved SHUT.

What happens if a Blind gathers nothing?

Blind Close still shows the Binding. Nothing is spent. The issue does not move.

Is activity hidden?

No. Every transfer, Binding, and Blind Close is public. There is no mixing.
